New Student Orientation(NSO)

We are working diligently to welcome you to your Lakers family for September. New Student Orientation (NSO) 2025 will be a hybrid program with online learning modules beginning in mid-June, in addition to in-person opportunities on Thursday July 3rd, and Friday, July 4th on campus. In the meantime, please read through the information on the NSO website, the website will be continue to be updated until all details are posted.

If you require academic accommodations for a disability, please follow the above link for the self-identification form. Upon receiving your self-identification form, Student Accessibility Services will contact you to begin the intake process. Early identification is preferable, when possible.

NUSU

The Nipissing University Student Union (NUSU) is your student-driven organization dedicated to enhancing your university experience through advocacy, engagement, and support. The NUSU Executive Committee leads NUSU as a whole, and is composed entirely of Nipissing University students. NUSU is in charge of your health and dental plan, the fun-filled Orientation Week (lovingly called OWLS week), clubs and societies on campus, your student emergency food bank, and much more. Course Registration Instructions

Follow the link above for instructions on how to register for your courses. For more information on how to select courses and a walkthrough of the registration process, check out the Orientation Modules on MyNipissing starting in mid- June.

  • For students who have received transfer credit, Registration opens on Tuesday June 10th at 10:00am.
  • For students who have not received transfer credit, Registration opens on Monday July 7th at 10:00am.
