Drop-In Academic Support
Drop-in academic support offers flexible, accessible help for students without the need for an appointment. All services are available during drop-in hours, providing a collaborative space to ask questions, work on assignments, and strengthen your skills. These sessions are shared and interactive, encouraging students to study together, exchange ideas, and receive guidance from academic support staff.

Hours of Service
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 10:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
- Wednesday: 10:30 a.m.–11:30 a.m.
These sessions are in open, collaborative spaces where students can ask questions, study alongside peers, and receive guidance from academic support staff. Drop-in does not require an appointment.
If you need private, one-on-one support, please book a 45-minute appointment.

Are you looking for support with writing, academic skills, or English language learning? Join us for virtual drop-in's on Microsoft Teams anytime between 10:30 am - 12:30 pm. No appointment required.
Academic Don Office Hours
Academic Dons are trained Peer Educators responsible for providing academic support and programs for students in the Residence environment. They are not assigned to an individual floor or residence community but are instead responsible for supporting a broad range of academic programming for all Residence complex communities.
Academic Dons are trained to help you on a one-on-one basis with general academic skills such as study strategies, note-taking skills, time management strategies, and more. Check the Academic Don Office Hours if you'd like peer-to-peer support, to ask a quick question, or to get referrals to other supports available at Nipissing University.
