The Central Analytical Facility (CAF) at Nipissing University houses a wide range of analytical instrumentation, including an Agilent LC/GC‑QTOF, Tekran 2600 and 2700, a BioTek plate reader, a Thermo ICS 3000, a Bruker NMR, and an FTIR. The facility is also equipped with essential laboratory tools for sample preparation, such as ultra pure water system, filtration systems, incubators, ovens, balances, centrifuges and extractors.
Primarily funded through the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) and the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), the CAF supports advanced research at Nipissing University by providing access to cutting‑edge analytical instrumentation and expertise.
In addition to supporting internal research and teaching activities, the CAF offers analytical services to external partners. Companies, government agencies, and other academic institutions can access the facility to conduct a wide range of specialized analyses.
The CAF’s mission is to enable collaborative, multi‑user, multidisciplinary, and regionally focused research by providing high‑quality instrumentation, technical support, and an environment that fosters innovation.
