Wiidooktaadwin Indigenous Mentorship Initiatives

Aaniin, Waciye, Boozhoo, Welcome!

Wiidooktaadwin Indigenous Mentorship Initiatives connects university students with local Indigneous youth and community through the Wiidooktaadwin Indigenous Mentorship program and Aasgaabitaadwin Indigenous Youth Leadership Conferences.  Our programs provide cultural and academic support for all participants, promote the development of leadership and life skills, facilitate working together and create paths to post-secondary education.

The Office of Indigenous Initiatives at Nipissing University also offers Peer2Peer, a program on campus to connect Indigenous university students with one another.

Gerry McComb "I am pursuing my passion for visual arts through the Bachelor of Fine Arts program at Nipissing. Although sometimes it’s hard to be far away from my hometown, I feel supported in my program and have found a good circle of friends who have similar interests. I’m looking forward to seeing where my passions take me."
