Casual Hourly Positions

  • Nipissing University is currently seeking candidates to provide note taking services to students registered with Student Accessibility Services. Note Taking support is provided to eligible students in order to provide equal access in the classroom. Note takers are responsible for providing an accurate and comprehensive typed set of notes for all assigned classroom lectures, labs, seminars and/or tutorials.

  • As an Indigenous Intern, you will participate in on-going training and mentorship opportunities, as well as facilitate a variety of workshop and day camp activities.   • The role of the Peer Tutor is to support the academic development of the student being tutored (Tutee) by assisting in the understanding of concepts in a specific course. Sessions will take place on campus during predetermined times where both Peer Tutor and Tutee are available. Peer Tutors provide expertise, experience, and encouragement. Peer Tutors do not provide “answers” but rather assist in the learning process.

Student Employment - NUWorks

  • The student will assist two different departments but will report directly to Human Resources. The student will spend time working with the Arts & Science department working as a laboratory student assistant to assist in the WHMIS 2015 relabeling initiative.

  • The Student Accessibility Services Assistant assists the department’s various programs, initiatives, and services aimed at providing students with an accessible and barrier free learning environment.  The Student Accessibility Services Assistant also assists the department in planning, implementing, and assessing outreach initiatives and workshops that are designed to support students with disabilities transitioning to Nipissing University.
