Connect with an Advisor

Walk-In Appointments (In-Person or Virtual)

Academic Advisors are available to meet with current undergraduate students both in person at the North Bay campus, as well as virtually through Microsoft Teams.

Current students can meet with an Academic Advisor in the following ways:

  • In-person at the Nipissing University campus in North Bay (room A207).
  • Virtually through Microsoft Teams using their student email address. Virtual meetings are offered through voice, video, and live chat.

New students beginning their program this upcoming fall semester will be unable to access an appointment with an Academic Advisor at this time. We encourage you to use the contact information for Future Students below or view our New Student Orientation page for more information.

This waiting list service allows students to follow their progress in line and notifies students via text and email when an advisor is preparing their file. For in-person appointments, students will receive a notification to let them know when to arrive at the Academic Advising office. For virtual appointments, an Academic Advisor will message you directly on Teams to start the meeting.

Meeting Hours:

Monday: 9:00am - 3:00pm
Tuesday: 9:00am - 3:00pm
Wednesday: 10:00am – 3:00pm
Thursday: 9:00am - 3:00pm
Friday: 9:00am - 3:00pm

The sign-up will close when it appears we are full for the day, however, we do encourage students to try again the following morning.
