Future Students Event Bursary

(Formerly known as Campus Tour Bursary)


Nipissing University is thrilled to offer a bursary to students who have travelled to our campus in North Bay, Ontario to participate in various events hosted by the Student Recruitment Office.

Amount In-Person Events


$50 per student travelling a minimum of 150 kilometers from their home address to Nipissing University*


$100 per student travelling a minimum of 350 kilometers from their home address to Nipissing University*

*Distance is calculated from the address listed on the OUAC application to 100 College Drive, North Bay, ON


The applicant must:

  • Be a citizen, a permanent resident of Canada or someone who is currently residing in Canada on a student visa
  • Be entering Nipissing University for the 2024-2025 academic year. (September 2024 entry only)
  • Submit the Future Students Event Bursary Application Form by July 5, 2024
  • Limit of one bursary per applicant applies. Award has no cash value. Award will be credited to the applicant's tuition account in September 2024 once event attendance and student status has been verified.

Below is a list of events that are eligible for consideration for the Future Students Events Bursary award:

In-Person Events

The applicant must register in advance and travel a minimum of 150 kilometers to attend in-person events such as an in-person campus tour, Fall Open House or March Open House by July 1, 2024.


It is strongly recommended that bursary applicants consistently register for events using the same name and email address for event attendance verification purposes.
