At Canadore College and Nipissing University, we believe all students and employees have a right to work and study in an environment free from any sexual violence or harassment. Our policies already address the issues raised by the Ministry of Colleges and Universities; however, our institutions will complete the review as outlined by the ministry. -

GeneralMy NipissingDue to the pandemic, North Bay Pride postponed its typical June pride month celebrations to September. The “We Are Pride Festival” kicks off on September 15 and runs until September 19. Nipissing University has partnered with North Bay Pride on two free events this month. -
NU will recognize National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
In June of this year, the federal government legislated September 30, 2021, as the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. As President, I am declaring that Nipissing University will recognize this day as a holiday, and as such, remote and in-person classes will be cancelled, and employees will not be required to report to work. -
