Nipissing joins North Bay Pride celebrations
GeneralMy NipissingDue to the pandemic, North Bay Pride postponed its typical June pride month celebrations to September. The “We Are Pride Festival” kicks off on September 15 and runs until September 19. Nipissing University has partnered with North Bay Pride on two free events this month. -
NU will recognize National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
In June of this year, the federal government legislated September 30, 2021, as the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. As President, I am declaring that Nipissing University will recognize this day as a holiday, and as such, remote and in-person classes will be cancelled, and employees will not be required to report to work. -

Rebecca Misiasz takes top spot in Three Minute Thesis Competition
Nipissing’s talented and knowledgeable group of researchers extends beyond its faculty members to include both undergraduate and graduate students. On Tuesday, March 26, Nipissing highlighted the prowess of its graduate students at its annual Three Minute Thesis Competition (3MT®) in the Nipissing Theatre. This University-wide event challenges graduate students to present their research to a panel of non-specialist judges in an engaging, compelling way, in under three minutes.
