Ricker Collection Exhibition celebrates work of renowned photographer, educator
GeneralNUSUOn September 20, Nipissing University celebrated the opening of the Ricker Collection exhibition at the NUSU Reflection Gallery. The exhibition, which opened to widespread enthusiasm, celebrates the life and work of Harry Ricker (1872 – 1952), a renowned naturalist, photographer, and educator who left a lasting impact on both North Bay's history and its education system. -

Award-winning broadcaster Scott Russell welcomed as Nipissing University Chancellor
GeneralNipissing University officially installed award-winning broadcaster and author Dr. Scott Russell as its fifth Chancellor in a special ceremony held today at the NUSU Student Centre. As Chancellor, Dr. Russell will serve as the ceremonial head of the institution, presiding over Convocation and acting as a key advocate and ambassador for Nipissing and its mission. -
Nipissing University Celebrates 2024 Alumni Award Recipients

The event, held at The Grande Event Centre in North Bay, recognized the exceptional achievements of alumni who have made significant contributions to their professions, communities, and the University. Hosted by the Nipissing University Alumni Advisory Board (NUAAB), the awards spanned categories of influence, achievement, rising talent, philanthropy, and honorary recognition. -

Celebrate Leadership: Nominations sought for 2025 Dave Marshall Leadership Awards
Each year, Nipissing University recognizes exceptional leaders through the Dave Marshall Leadership Awards (DMLA). Help us celebrate the leaders who are inspiring change on campus and beyond by nominating a deserving student by January 31, 2025. Annually, 25 full-time students are recognized with a Dave Marshall Leadership Award. These students have made an outstanding extracurricular contribution to their academic program, to the campus, or to the greater community. They have demonstrated leadership, initiative, commitment, and an ability to motivate and influence others toward the betterment of Nipissing University.
