The School of Criminal Justice in the Faculty of Education and Professional Studies at Nipissing University invites applications for a 10-month Limited Term Faculty Appointment. This position is in North Bay, Ontario.

The School of Criminal Justice at Nipissing University offers four streams to students. These include, Policing, Corrections, Criminology and Criminal Justice Studies, with a program designed to balance theory and practice. Students have opportunities to work with criminal justice professionals through field placements, projects, and research.

The ideal candidate will have: 

  • completion or near completion of a terminal degree in criminology or criminal justice (PhD) or a related field (e.g., LLM), 
  • have post-secondary teaching experience, 
  • demonstrate active research agenda related to the field of criminal justice, 
  • practical experience is preferred but not required. 

The successful candidate will have a workload that will include some of the following courses:

Candidates may have the opportunity to teach different courses related to their field of research.
 
The annual salary will correspond with qualifications and experience and will follow the Nipissing University Faculty Association (NUFA) Collective Agreement. The appointment will be effective August 1, 2024.
