“My father is a retired stone mason and builder who taught me the importance of building a strong foundation for a house to stand the test of time. Having a university located within our community, I believe, is a fundamental building block for the community’s future and long lasting sustainability and growth.  In short, Nipissing University helps strengthen the foundation of North Bay and area’s future success,” he said.

As a part-time instructor in the School of Business over the last 24 years, Candeloro come to understand the need some students have financially.  Through bursaries and awards, students can focus more of their time and efforts on academics and university life.

He also believes in supporting his profession locally by helping it’s future leaders.

“I believe in the support and development of finance professionals locally within our community,” he said.  “I have had the pleasure of hiring Nipissing University grads in the past who graduated from the School of Business.  I hope my token financial reward helps ever so slightly, in the development a new North Bay financial professional.”
