NU feast to launch Let's Take Our Future Further Aboriginal student resource

Nipissing University and the Office of Aboriginal Initiatives are hosting a feast to celebrate Aboriginal role models and Aboriginal students who are taking their ‘future further’.
The feast takes place on Wednesday, February 10, at noon in room A248 (Nipissing’s small cafeteria), and runs in conjunction with Nipissing’s Aboriginal Leadership Conference and theCouncil of Ontario Universities’ Aboriginal Future Further website launch.  It will feature short speeches from the following Aboriginal role models:
Autumn Varley, BA History, and current MA History student
Dr. Mike DeGagné, president and vice-chancellor of Nipissing University
Kerry Lynn Pelltier, BA Social Welfare student
Nancy Shipman, BA Sociology

TheFuture Further website features compelling profiles and videos of Aboriginal roles models and resource kits for Aboriginal learners who are thinking about attending an Ontario university.
