Changes to campus smoking policy

Please note that Canadore College and Nipissing University’s campus smoking policy has changed.
Effective immediately, smoking is limited to outdoor designated smoking areas.

Security Officers will direct all smokers to utilize designated smoking areas as per the new policy.

The Nipissing University and Canadore College campuses are public properties and under Ontario legislation are within their rights to create and enforce no smoking policies with municipal governments.

Please note that smoking cessation programs are widely available to you as an employee, and to our students. Employees can receive support through government programs and through ourEAP provider, click here to access their website. Students can access resources and support through the Campus Health Centre, many of which are free.
