Students attend National math conference

Three Nipissing University Math majors, Heather-Lynn Topping, Mitchell Haslehurst and Bradley Lalonde, recently shared their expertise with and learned from peers while attending the 2014 Canadian Undergraduate Mathematics Conference, which took place at Carleton University in early July.
Both students gave presentations at the conference.

"Attending the 2014 Canadian Undergraduate Mathematics Conference in Ottawa was a great eye-opening experience,” said Topping. “It was wonderful to meet other undergraduate students who are enthusiastic about math. The conference helped made it clear to me that I do want to pursue mathematics much further, and be a part of the community built around it.  I would definitely encourage anyone who has a love for mathematics to attend upcoming conferences."
