Funding opportunity for students

Applicants are now being sought for the new global grant scholarship from Rotary District 7010. Worth $30,000 annually, this exclusive scholarship will help fund a graduate-level student from the Rotary District 7010 area, to pursue educational and service dreams generating impact in the areas of Rotary’s new future vision focus:Peace and conflict prevention/resolutionDisease prevention and treatmentWater and sanitationMaternal and child healthBasic education and literacyEconomic and community developmentGlobal grant scholarship applications are now available atwww.rotary7010.org (click on Foundation tab).There is a process for applying:
Qualified candidates must submit a completed application for review and support by their local Rotary Club by March 14, 2014.
North Bay and area applicants should send applications to Darlene Laferriere (Rotary Club of North Bay - Nipissing)mailto:darlene_laferriere@hotmail.com no later than April 1, 2014.
Approved candidates need to submit their final application via email to Colin Vickers at,colin.vickers@sympatico.ca by April 18, 2014.
Interviews for district finalists will be conducted on May 10, 2014, in North Bay, Ontario. Scholarship recipient will then be able to study at an international university starting Fall 2015.
