Dr. Long book featured in Globe debate

Dr. John Long’s book, Treaty No. 9: Making the Agreement to Share the Land in Far Northern Ontario in 1905 (McGill Queen’s University Press), was recently invoked by Bob Rae in a special debate article in the Globe and Mail, titled The Supreme Court’s B.C. land-title decision. It’s more important than you think. In discussing the numbered treaties, Rae praised the book for its ability to “raise important issues about the moral and legal foundation of these agreements, and their implications for the modern world.”
