Kenyan Footsteps II

Nipissing students who travelled to Kenya last winter will give a presentation about their journey on November 21, 7 – 9 p.m. in the Nipissing Theatre (F213).Four Nipissing students took part in the Students for Development (SFD) internship:Geography student Jennifer Andruszysn conducted internship activities related to water management,English and Concurrent Education student Sophie Hurst conducted internship activities involving teacher education, andNursing students Erica Chezick and Sarah Jones conducted internship activities related to nursing and health care.
They will share their experiences, introduce the audience to the Kenyan people they met, assisted or worked with; and explain how the internship has affected their life's journey.
The event is hosted by the Canadian International Council (CIC)-Nipissing Branch and the International Initiatives Office.
The SFD Internship program and production of Kenyan Footsteps 2 was undertaken with financial support of the government of Canada provided through the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA).
SFD Internships are managed through the support of the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada (AUCC).
