Special lecture on Race and the Law

The Nipissing Branch of the Canadian International Council is pleased to welcome guest speaker Laverne Lewis Gaskins, who will be discussingThe Intersection of Race and the Law: an American Historical Perspective, on campus Tuesday, November 20, at 7 p.m. in the Weaver Auditorium (B200).
Laverne Lewis Gaskins is the University Attorney at Valdosta State University in Valdosta, Georgia, where she is also an adjunct professor who teaches courses on trial advocacy and gender, justice and family.  In 2010, she received a Fulbright grant and as a Fulbright Senior Specialist she has spoken widely on the intersection of race, gender and the law in the United States and internationally.

This event is free of charge and everyone is welcome.
