Biomass Centre kickstarting enterprise

The Biomass Innovation Centre at Nipissing University is promoting a new program aimed at supporting the development of northern Ontario's bioeconomy. With financial support from the Industrial Research Assistance Program, this program will provide five small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with consulting and research services that will help position them for expansion or realignment in the forestry or agricultural sector. Project staff expect that this program will help jump-start new investment in the value-added sector and provide new markets for Ontario's forest and agricultural industries.
