Alumnus earns first place at conference

Nipissing University congratulates alumnus Warren Green (BSc’05), who earned first place for the best oral presentation at the 10th International Congress on the Biology of Fish.

Green, who studied Environmental Biology and Technology at Nipissing and is currently pursuing his PhD in Biological Sciences at the University of Windsor, is researching how sea lampreys process olfactory information; basically, how lampreys react to certain odours. His work could benefit current strategies employed to help eradicate lampreys, an invasive species, from the Great Lakes.
