The Cochrane Temiskaming Resource Centre (CTRC) is seeking an Infant Developmental Consultant to join its team in New Liskeard; however, travel to other service communities may be required occasionally.
CTRC is a regional Developmental Services provider offering programs across the Districts of Temiskaming and
Cochrane including coastal communities along James and Hudson Bay. The successful candidate will be part of the Infant and Child Development Program, working with the families of children, birth through school entry. The duties include intake for new referrals and consulting with the Supervisor; performing home and infant evaluations/screens through observation, administration, scoring and interpretation of the necessary developmental screening tools; developing and implementing individual plans for clients; working with families and educating them in early homebased intervention strategies; assisting families in understanding their child’s abilities, needs, behaviours and planning for their child’s future needs, and providing case management.
Developmental Consultants will also work consultatively with other service agencies and providers, including Early Years Services, Community Living Associations, Schools and School Boards, Hospitals, and any other community based services part of the support network for individuals receiving services from CTRC.
