Step 2: QR Code for Self-Assessment

After completing the COVID-19 Self-Assessment, you will receive results in the form of a QR code. If the QR code is green, you are approved for entry to campus buildings. If the QR code is red, you are not approved to enter campus buildings and should follow the recommendations provided.

To gain access to the campus, individuals are required to scan their QR code on the scanning devices.

Step 3: Vaccine Status Attestation: Unvaccinated

As per our COVID-19 Vaccination Policy, Nipissing University will allow individuals to attest to their vaccination status using the Nipissing Safe App during the period of September 7 to October 29, 2021. You can provide your attestation using the Vaccine Passport feature within the Nipissing  Safe App or the Nipissing Safe  Web App.

For those who have not achieved full vaccination status (14 days post-2nd dose), this step is required daily.

Once you have attested to having two (2) doses, your vaccine passport will remain approved with a darker green QR code.

Rapid Testing Requirement

As per our COVID-19 Vaccination Policy, the following individuals are subject to testing requirements:

  • Individuals who have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccination by September 7, 2021 but are awaiting their second dose of a COVID-19 vaccination and/or the expiry of the 14 day period before they are considered fully vaccinated
  • Individuals who are approved for an exemption from the vaccination requirement

Regular testing occurs twice a week with a 48-hour interval between testing.

Individuals should reach out to Michelle Banks, michellb@nipissingu.ca for more details on their rapid testing requirements.
