IMPORTANT registration information and resources for all students entering the Consecutive Bachelor of Education program or Year 5 of Concurrent Education.

Optional French-Language Delivery of Special Needs of Students (EDUC 4776)

We are pleased to share that the Schulich School of Education has been approved by the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) to offer a section of the required course Special Needs of Students (EDUC 4776) in French during Fall Term 2025 with a view to support French language maintenance/development. This single course section will be delivered in French, with teacher candidate participation and all coursework to be completed in French. All students entering the Consecutive Bachelor of Education program or Year 5 of the Concurrent Bachelor of Education program have the option of self-registering in the French delivery version of EDUC-4776, however, this course is capped at 40 students and therefore will be offered on a first come, first served basis.  To register in the French offering section of Special Needs of Students (EDUC 4776), using your Nipissing student email account, please email epsdeanoffice@nipissingu.ca informing us of your interest no later than August 15th. Students who do email requesting the French section of Special Needs of Students will automatically be registered in the regular English section offerings of this course.

Students who successfully complete this course in French will receive a letter from the Schulich School of Education confirming completion of this course in French.
