Registration information for incoming RPN - BScN Collaborative students

Please read the message below as it provides important information regarding registration for the Collaborative RPN - BScN program.

Students beginning the Collaborative RPN to BScN Program

Registration will open on June 18th at 9:00AM for students with transfer credits.

Students entering their first year of the Collaborative RPN to BScN program will participate in Block registration by selecting placeholder blocks. These placeholder blocks include all of the required courses for the Fall and Winter semesters.

Students will login to WebAdvisor and choose one placeholder block for the year: NURS-2000-FWRPN.

Courses included in the 30-credit NURS-2000-FWRPN block are as follows:

Fall:

  • BIOL-1011: Introduction to Molecular and Cell Biology for Nursing
  • NURS-2016: Health Challenges
  • NURS-2036: Development of Nursing Knowledge
  • NURS-2106: Clinical Practicum for RPN to BScN
  • NURS-2107: Reflective Practice for RPN to BScN

Winter:

  • ACAD-1601: Academic Writing
  • BIOL-2116: Principles of Microbiology
  • NURS-2007: Concepts in Mental Health Nursing
  • NURS-2207: Clinical Practicum: Nursing Individuals Experiencing Mental Health Challenges
  • NURS-2047: Professional Foundations in Nursing

How to view scheduling information for your block

To view the timetable information associated your block, students must:

  • Search for NURS-2000 in WebAdvisor and then click on NURS-200-FWRPN to open up the section information.
  • At the bottom of the section information page, consult the section titled: Additional Information. In this section there is a hyperlink to a PDF version of the timetable for that specific block.

Notes

  • Students will be transferred into their respective course sections mid-August.
  • Students who have advance standing/transfer credit (beyond the standard 30-credits from RPN diploma) for courses contained within the block must contact the Office of the Registrar by email at registrar@nipissingu.ca to be removed from these courses.
