Ontario applicants - Admitted Prior to 2023/2024

Spring/Summer Session

** An interest charge at the rate of 1.5% will be assessed monthly (19.56% effective annual rate) on all student accounts with balances outstanding after the relevant due date for fees incurred.  Interest will not be waived for late payments.**​​​Non-payment of fees may render a student ineligible for registration in future sessions. In addition, students who are in financial arrears to the university may face deregistration from future courses and will not be issued their transcripts of record, statement of standing, degree or related evidence of their academic progress until such time as their account is cleared.

2025-2026 International Graduate Program Tuition and Fees

International Applicants must hold an Undergraduate Degree from an Accredited Degree-Granting Institution.

Full-time/Flex time Breakdown

First Year Student:

All fees are due by the date specified in your offer letter.

Returning Student:

**Tuition, Ancillary, SIP and UHIP fee rates are set out one academic year at a time. The rates for the current 2025/2026 academic year are listed below. Nipissing University reserves the right to modify published fees and the regulations governing refunds without advance notice.**​

Fee Breakdown:

Tuition per Term = $9,333.34 for the 2025-2026 Academic Year
Student Ancillary Fees per Term = $402.50*
Student Insurance Plan = $360.00 ** once per calendar year, normally in the Fall, depending on student intake**
UHIP Fees may vary based on the length of time a student is living in Canada.
2025-2026 UHIP fees are $792.00 for a full year, subject to change each year. (University Health Insurance Plan)

Extension Fee: (Terms 7, 8, and 9)

$1000.00 per Term + $402.50 Ancillary fees + SIP** + UHIP, as applicable.

Balance of Degree Fee:

MRP: Students will be charged the minimum fee, regardless of completing their degree early. (Based on your programs time/terms to complete your degree as outlined)
Thesis: Students will be charged the minimum fee, regardless of completing their degree early. (Based on your programs time/terms to complete your degree as outlined)

After Thesis Defense Completed:

 $500.00 per Term (flat rate, no ancillary fees)

Fee Credit/Refund Deadline date for a complete Program withdrawal are as follows:

Fall Term - 100% before September 15, 2025 - 0% credit thereafter.

Winter Term - 100% before January 16, 2026- 0% credit thereafter.

Spring/Summer Term - 100% before May 8, 2026 - 0% credit  thereafter.

 Full time Masters students can opt-in using Self-Service for a bus pass and pay the $241.25 to receive the bus pass. Please note: This bus pass will cover Fall and Winter term only and must be paid at the time of opt-in. Bus passes for Spring/Summer are available to registered students, please contact Student Financial Services for details.

Full-time and Flex-time students enrolled in a Master’s program at Nipissing University will be charged continuous tuition and fees for the Fall, Winter, and Spring/Summer terms based on their program option and route as follows:

MRP- Full Time: Students are charged full-time fees for the first three (3) terms of registration; after three terms students may apply for extensions (if needed) on a per-term basis through the School of Graduate Studies office. If approved, students will be billed at the extension fee rate.

Flex-time (MRP): Students are charged full-time fees for the first three (3) terms of registration, and then charged student fees only for up to six (6) additional terms (terms 4 to 9); after nine terms of total study, flex-time students may apply for extensions (if needed) on a per-term basis through the School of Graduate Studies office. If approved, students will be billed at the extension fee rate.
