Welcome to the Mental Health & Wellbeing Team Appointment Guide!

This page will walk you through the steps to book and attend an appointment with our Mental Health & Wellbeing team using Telus Health Connect. If you cannot find a time that works for you, please contact us. If you prefer not to book online, you can always contact our office by phone, in person, or via email to schedule your appointment.

You can schedule your appointments within the Telus Health Connect app as well as through the following web-based method.

Steps to book an appointment

Booking Steps:

  1. Visit https://nipissingu.inputhealth.com/portal
  2. Log in with:
    • Nipissing University Student ID
    • Nipissing University Email
  3. Enter the passcode sent to your Nipissing University email.
  4. Select Appointments followed by New Appointment
  5. Choose the type of appointment you are looking for

    Duration

    Same Day

    • Booked same day until 2:00 PM or within 24 hours.
    • Focuses on immediate student needs.
    • May be a one-time session or the first step in a care plan.

    50 Minutes

    Initial

    • For students seeking Mental Health & Wellbeing support
    • Includes pathways planning and culturally responsive, equity-focused approaches.

    50 Minutes

    Follow-Up

    • Must be currently enrolled in a service pathway.
    • If not, please book an Initial Appointment to get started.

  6. Choose appointment format (Virtual/In-Person)
  7. Select the service type you would like to receive
  8. Pick a date and time
  9. Verify that your information is correct.
  10. Check that you understand this is only a request for an appointment
  11. Click Confirm
  12. Receive confirmation and reminders via email

You should receive an email with confirmation to your email address and an invitation to join the Telus Health Connect App.

Important Note: If you’ve used TELUS Health Connect for another clinic before, log in to thconnect.telushealth.com using your existing credentials. Once logged in, you can add this clinic to your account by selecting Add Clinic and searching for Nipissing University Mental Health & Wellbeing.

Telus Health Connect is a patient-centred app designed to enhance your healthcare experience. With its user-friendly features, you can:

- Virtual Visits: Connect with your provider for virtual consultations.
- Complete Questionnaires: Fill out necessary forms directly within the app for a streamlined process.
- Communicate with Your Provider: Send and receive messages; if enabled, respond and attach documents for a more interactive experience.
- Update Your Information: Easily manage and update your demographic details.

CHR Connect empowers you to take control of your Mental Health & Wellbeing journey, making communication and appointment management more efficient and convenient.

Attending Virtual Appointments

  • A virtual link will be sent to you 5 minutes before your scheduled appointment.
  • You can also join via the Telus Health Connect app/website.
  • Please ensure you use Google Chrome as your web browser.
  • If you experience audio or camera issues, ensure that your camera and microphone are enabled in Chrome. 
    • To check, click the small control icon on the left side of the web address bar while on your virtual visit page. From there, confirm that both audio and camera settings are toggled on.
