*Tuition, Ancillary and SIP fee rates are set out one academic year at a time. The rates for the current 2026/2027 academic year are listed below.
Full-time and Flex-time students enrolled in a Master’s program at Nipissing University will be charged continuous tuition and fees for the Fall, Winter, and Spring/Summer terms based on their program option and route as follows:
MRP- Full Time: Students are charged full-time fees for the first three (3) terms of registration; after three terms students may apply for extensions (if needed) on a per-term basis through the School of Graduate Studies office. If approved, students will be billed at the extension fee rate.
Flex-time (MRP): Students are charged full-time fees for the first three (3) terms of registration, and then charged student fees only for up to six (6) additional terms (terms 4 to 9); after nine terms of total study. Flex-time students may apply for extensions (if needed) on a per-term basis through the School of Graduate Studies office. If approved, students will be billed at the extension fee rate.

Fee Breakdown:
Tuition Fees per term = $3,618.72 for the 2026-2027 Academic Year
Student Ancillary fees per term = $422.04 for the 2026-2027 Academic Year**SIP - Student Insurance Plan = $380.00 for the 2026-2027 Academic Year. Once per calendar year, normally in the Fall, depending on student intake
Extension Fees per Term:
$1000.00 per Term + $422.04 Ancillary fees + SIP as applicable.
Balance of Degree Fee:
Students will be charged a minimum of three (3) terms of tuition regardless of the time it takes to complete the degree.
After Thesis Defense Completed:
$500.00 per term (flat rate, no ancillary fees)
Credit/Refund Deadline date for a complete Program withdrawal are as follows:
Fall Term- 100% before September 21, 2026- 0% credit thereafter.
Winter Term- 100% before January 22, 2027- 0% credit thereafter.
Spring/Summer Term- 100% before May 8, 2026 - 0% credit thereafter.
Full time Masters students can opt-in using Self-Service and pay $248.50 to receive the student bus pass. Please note: This bus pass will cover the Fall and Winter terms only and must be paid at the time of opt-in. Bus passes for Spring/Summer are available to registered students, please contact Student Financial Services for details.
**Nipissing University reserves the right to modify published fees and the regulations governing refunds without advance notice.**
**An interest charge at the rate of 1.5% will be assessed monthly (19.56% effective annual rate) on all student accounts with balances outstanding after the relevant due date for fees incurred. Interest will not be waived for late payments.**
Non-payment of fees may render a student ineligible for registration in future sessions. In addition, students who are in financial arrears to the university may face deregistration from future courses and will not be issued their transcripts of record, statement of standing, degree or related evidence of their academic progress until such time as their account is cleared.
