New Student Orientation (NSO)

New Student Orientation 2025

New Student Orientation (NSO) is a hybrid program with online learning modules and on campus programming that highlight various resources for our new students and their supporters. NSO is held in the summer to help you and your supporters prepare the transition into university life well before the start of the academic year in September.

This year's 2025 New Student Orientation you and your supporters can choose to attend on either:

  • Thursday July 3, 2025 OR
  • Friday July 4, 2025.

The same programing will be offered on both days, so you can attend on the day that works best for you.

Registration is now open - click the button below to access the registration form. We are excited to welcome you!

  • Stay in our award-winning Residence Complexes
  • Chat with current student leaders about the NU student experience
  • Learn valuable ‘next steps’ to prepare you for your start at NU

We also have programming and resources for the supporters in your life – whether that be parents, family, guardians or friends!

There are different online learning modules offered to incoming students:

  • General New Student Orientation - for incoming students in any program.
