Graduate Studies

The Proposed MEd course schedules are subject to change. MEd students are encouraged to enrol in EDUC-5157 Survey of Research Methods and EDUC-5196 Understanding Education at their earliest opportunity when the courses are offered. If completing the MEd degree via the Research Project route, MEd students are encouraged to complete EDUC-5186 Research Project & Seminar at their earliest opportunity after completing the prerequisites (complete 18 credits including EDUC-5157).

This handbook contains the rules, guidelines and procedures of Graduate Studies in Education that pertain to the administration of the Ph.D. program.

The Graduate Studies Committee is the body that directs and oversees the administration of graduate education, defining what constitutes graduate education at Nipissing University, maintaining equity in program and degree standards across all academic disciplines, providing quality control over all aspects of graduate education and maintaining equity and fairness in the treatment of graduate students.

Co-hosted with the School of Graduate Studies, the event will provide students with an opportunity to speak with professors from each program and will also include information on admission requirements, scholarships and funding, and more.
