The Centre for Teaching and Learning is committed to excellence, leadership, and transformation in curricular planning, teaching and learning practice, and scholarship. We collaborate with faculty, staff and students across the university, focusing on transformational teaching and learning practice by providing professional development, consulting services, educational technology support, extended learning opportunities and administration, and supporting educational leadership.

    Blackboard has tools that can be leveraged to deter academic dishonesty. Some are found in the Test Settings, some are found with question types, and then there is computerize proctoring with Respondus. This session will explore the ways that you can increase the integrity of your tests against academic dishonesty.

    Many use weighted grades as outlined in your course syllabus. Some keep spreadsheets to calculate the final grade, some work hard to ensure that this assignment is out of 25 or 16 or any other specific number. You can set that weighting up in Gradebook. But what about if you are calculating participation in class… You can do that in Gradebook too. Come and learn ways that you can set your Gradebook up so that you and your students know what their grades are.
