Students entering Year 1 of BBA
Registration will open on June 18th at 9:00AM for students with transfer credits and on July 3rd at 9:00AM for all other students.
Students entering Year 1 of the BBA program will participate in Block registration by selecting a placeholder block for the Integrated Business Studies Term taking place in the Winter session.
Students will login to WebAdvisor and register in the one placeholder block for the Integrated Business Studies Term, in addition to all other required courses.
Courses included in the 12-credit ADMN-1200 Integrated Business Studies Term Block are as follows:
- ACCT-1107* Introductory Financial Accounting II
- MKTG-1126 Marketing Concepts
- ORGS-1136 Introduction to Organizational Behaviour
- ADMN-1306 Digital Management
In addition to the Integrated Business Studies Term, the following first year courses are also required for the BBA:
- ADMN 1011
- ADMN 1206
- ADMN 1607
- ECON 1006 & ECON 1007
- Humanities or Science (6 credits)**
*Students without any prior background in Accounting will be required to take ACCT 1106 in preparation for ACCT 1107.
**Students in Concurrent Education will be required to complete ACAD 1601 (3 credits). ACAD 1601 will count towards three credits of the Humanities requirement. Students in Concurrent Education will also be required to complete 6 credits of: MATH 1036, MATH 1037, MATH 1046, MATH 1056 or MATH 1070 which will count toward their Science requirement. Concurrent Education students who plan to take MATH 1070 should take it in their first year and wait to take ACAD 1601 in second year; unless they require ACCT 1106, in which case they should take ACCT 1106 and ACAD 1601 in their first year and MATH 1070 in their second year.
How to view scheduling information for your block
To view the timetable information associated your block, students must:
- Search for ADMN-1200 in WebAdvisor and then click on ADMN-1200-WI00A to open up the section information.
- At the bottom of the section information page, consult the section titled: Additional Information. In this section there is a hyperlink to a PDF version of the timetable for that specific block.
Notes
- Students will be transferred into their respective course sections mid-August.
- Students who have advance standing/transfer credit for courses contained within the block must contact the Office of the Registrar by email at registrar@nipissingu.ca to be removed from these courses.
