Job Description:
Role Summary:
This leadership role is responsible for the daily operations of staff and programming. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with a passion for Outdoor Education. As a key member of our leadership team, this person will ensure the quality and safety of all programs, provide direct coaching and mentorship to staff, and act as a host for special groups and clients. This role also involves managing day-to-day staff issues, coordinating training, planning staff events, and overseeing the on-site residence.

- Set an example of how to be an excellent Outdoor Education Instructor at Olympia
- Exemplify and uphold Olympia’s core values of safety, teamwork, and respect at all times
- Create a positive and uplifting environment for all staff
- Build relationships with all clients and communicate clearly with them
- Staff Management
- Assist with initial and on-going staff training & coordinate with area-heads
Required Qualifications:
- Current Standard First Aid with CPR-C
- Clean Police Record Check
Desired Skills:
- Ability to lead a team
- Ability to work long hours
- Experience working with youth in a camp setting
- Strong communication & customer service skills
Preferred Skills:
- National Lifeguard
- Pleasure Craft Operator Craft
- Experience working with ropes & challenge course
- G License and a clean driving record
- ORCKA or Paddle Canada Certifications
- ACCT Level 2 Certification
- Experience with Google Workspace
