Job Description:

We are seeking a part-time tutor to support two homeschooled children (ages 5 and 8) with learning aligned to the Ontario Curriculum. The tutor will provide instruction in Math, English, Science, Social Studies, and beginner French, using developmentally appropriate, engaging, and routine-based approaches.

Responsibilities include reinforcing foundational literacy and numeracy skills, supporting Grade 3 curriculum content, encouraging independent learning, and incorporating hands-on or enrichment activities when appropriate. Additional learning materials will be provided, and tutor creativity is welcomed.

This is an in-home tutoring role with flexible scheduling (1–2 hours per day).

Required Qualifications:

What you’ll need: 

  • B.Ed. student or BA/BSc student competent in Kindergarten & Grade 3 curriculum
  • Great with children; supportive, patient, playful, and routine-based
    •    Able to build confidence and support independent learning
    •    Comfortable in a home environment
    •    Bonus if able to incorporate hands-on activities (arts/crafts, enrichment)

Additional materials will be provided, and tutor ideas are welcome.
