Appointments can be booked online through Telus Health Connect or by contacting the Mental Health & Wellbeing office for support.
Booking Steps:
Visit https://nipissingu.inputhealth.com/portal and log in using your Nipissing University Student ID and email. Enter the passcode sent to your email, then select Appointments → New Appointment. Choose your appointment type, format (virtual or in-person), and preferred date and time. Confirm your details and submit your request. You will receive confirmation and reminders by email.
Appointment Types
- Initial (50 minutes): For students seeking support; includes care planning and culturally responsive, equity-focused approaches.
- Follow-Up (50 minutes): For students already enrolled in a service pathway; otherwise, book an Initial appointment.
- Same Day (50 minutes): Booked same day (until 2:00 PM or within 24 hours); focuses on immediate needs and may be a one-time session or first step in care.
Important Forms Requirement:
For all Initial and Same-day appointments, you will be sent two required forms to complete before your session. These must be completed in advance or your appointment cannot begin. When completing the forms, you must select at least one notification method (text or email). If no notification method is selected, you will not receive important automated appointment communications.
Using Telus Health Connect: Upon making an appointment will receive an email invitation to join Telus Health Connect. If you already have a Telus account from another clinic, log in and add Nipissing University Mental Health & Wellbeing as a clinic in your account.
You can access appointments through the website or mobile app. Features include virtual visits, secure messaging, form/questionnaire completion, and updating your information. A join link will be sent automatically 5 minutes before all virtual appointments.
Technical Tips:
Use Google Chrome. Ensure your camera and microphone are enabled in your browser settings. If you experience technical issues, contact the MHW office for assistance and we will help you connect.
