Full Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including scaling, root planing, polishing teeth, fluoride treatments, pit and fissure sealants
- Take dental x-rays including panorex and ceph as needed
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and provide personalized oral care instructions
- Conduct oral cancer screenings and periodontal assessments
- Maintain a sterile working environment
- Document patient treatment records accurately and maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized dental office
Requirements:
- Valid dental hygiene license and in good standing with the CDHO
- Knowledge of dental office systems and procedures
- Proficiency in dental software such as Abel Dent
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
