Student Summer Employment Opportunities at OFRI, Sault Ste. Marie

 

The 2026 Summer Employment Opportunities (SEO) Program job ads are now posted on the OPS Careers SEO job board. The Forest Research and Monitoring Section (FRMS) and Forest Resource Inventory Unit (FRI) will be hiring up to 28 positions based out of the Ontario Forest Research Institute (OFRI) through the program:

  • Assistant Forest Technician – 17 FRMS and 1 FRI
  • Climate Change Research Assistant – 2 FRMS
  • Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Assistant – 3 FRMS and 1 FRI
  • Laboratory Assistant – 2 FRMS
  • Chemical Analyst – 1 FRMS
  • Office Assistant – 1 FRMS

All positions will be based out of Sault Ste. Marie.
