Nipissing University celebrates 25 of its outstanding student leaders on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at the annual Dave Marshall Leadership Awards, taking place at 11:30 a.m. in the Nipissing University Theatre (room F213).

Nipissing University will provide $3.76 million to students in the form of scholarships, awards, bursaries and graduate funding this academic year. To celebrate the generosity of donors, and provide important and meaningful connections with the students receiving funding, the university held the annual Student and Donor Awards Social last week.

Congratulations to alumna Emily Gillespie, BA ’13 in Gender Equality and Social Justice, on the upcoming publication of her first novel, Dancing with Ghosts.Dancing with Ghosts tells the story of Patricia, a young girl struggling with her own personal demons after moving from a small town Toronto for her first year of university. There, she begins a tumultuous romance with Derek, a fellow classmate, and her mental health suffers when the relationship turns abusive.
