Workshop explores social isolation, loneliness and aging
ArticleOn October 26, Nipissing University will be hosting a half-day workshop to discuss what we understand and don't about social isolation and loneliness as we age. The virtual event will be of interest to academics, older people, people living with dementia, family care partners, as well as health and social care practitioners.

NU researcher earns $100,000 grant to help South Sudanese refugees
ArticleNipissing University has been awarded a $100,000 grant from Grand Challenges Canada to help improve maternal, newborn and child health among South Sudanese Refugees and their host communities in Uganda. Dr. Odwa Atari, associate professor of geography, is the project lead on the grant-winning project.
