Nipissing University invites the community to lace up their running shoes in support of the Lakers Nordic Ski Team by participating in the Conquer the Escarpment Shelby Dickey Memorial Fun Run/Walk on Sunday, October 27, at 11 a.m. The event, hosted by Nipissing University, honours the memory of Nipissing alumnus Shelby Dickey, a Bachelor of Physical Health Education and Master of Science in Kinesiology graduate.

Nipissing University is pleased to announce the appointment of Lindsay Sullivan as Interim Assistant Vice-President (AVP), Students. Sullivan will serve in the role for the next seven months while current AVP, Students, Sarah Taylor, is on parental leave. Sullivan joined Nipissing earlier this year as the University’s Access and Inclusion Student Experience Coordinator.

When it comes to storytelling, few can captivate an audience quite like Nipissing alumnus Taijon Eccleston-Graham. From his pioneering initiative Shoot for Change to his newly released documentary series, The Road to Convocation, Eccleston-Graham has leveraged his passion for sports and community to leave a lasting impact.

Nipissing University is proud to host alumnus Terry Dubroy for the launch of his solo book, Transformative Education, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on November 29 at the NUSU Student Centre. The community is invited to share in an evening of insightful stories and celebrate education as Dubroy shares the journey that led to his most recent publication, Transformative Education. The book is an exploration of what it means to be an authentic, transformative educator.
