Each year during convocation, Nipissing University celebrates the value and importance of its faculty through the awarding of the Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence in Research, Teaching and Service. Although we are not able to gather for in-person convocation ceremonies at this time, we would like to recognize and congratulate this year’s deserving recipients of the Chancellor’s Awards: 

Future Nipissing University students will get their first taste of what their university experience will be like during the annual New Student Orientation (NSO). This year, NSO will take place entirely virtually and will launch on Friday, July 10 with a comprehensive online orientation learning module.

Nipissing professor of Social Work, Dr. Mary Pat Sullivan, is among a team of international researchers studying the effects of loneliness and social-isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nipissing University is pleased to announce the appointment of a new Teaching Chair to support teaching innovation at the institution. Education professor, Dr. Douglas Gosse, has been named Teaching Chair in Learning Outcomes for a two-year term effective July 1, 2020.

The Nipissing University Student Union (NUSU) has taken its annual Shinerama fundraiser online this year. Although you won’t see Nipissing University students out shining cars this weekend, there are still a number of ways you can participate in the event virtually and help raise critical funding for Cystic Fibrosis.
