you smile. This award is your opportunity to recognize the value and positive impact of a staff or
faculty member by saying Thank You and let them know that they made a positive impact on your life
here at Nipissing and that what they do matters.
To qualify for the Positive Impact Award, students must write a heartfelt impact statement on how a
faculty or staff member has enriched either their life or enriched the Nipissing University community. The award is open to all Nipissing University students, recipients are selected by committee based on their submitted statement. Application required -
Libby Gibson Memorial Award
Scholarships, Bursaries & AwardsAward Value$1,200.00Established by the Dr. Herbert A. Bruce Chapter IODE to honour the life of Libby Gibson. This award
recognizes her 60 plus years of community service through her dedicated support for many IODE projects
and her participation in the operation of the organization. The award is presented to a full-time 4th year
Nipissing University student enrolled in the BScN program who demonstrates financial need and
academic merit. Complete a Web Bursary application, available on Web Advisor beginning October 1. Deadline: 9:00 am November 1. -
Ishwariya Ramakrishnan Award
Scholarships, Bursaries & AwardsAward Value$500.00Awarded to a full-time Nipissing University student pursuing a business degree or diploma. The recipient
must have a minimum of 75% average and a Record of Student Development with the Office of Student
Development Services. The recipient must demonstrate a commitment to volunteerism and on-campus
community involvement. -
The North Bay Youth Soccer Club Heather Cluff Award
Scholarships, Bursaries & AwardsAward Value$3,000.00Awarded to one full-time female student entering their first year of studies at Nipissing University. The recipient must demonstrate academic merit, must have been recruited and signed to play varsity soccer with the Nipissing Lakers, and have attended a Nipissing District Secondary School. If there are no eligible soccer players in any given year, the award may be given to a first-year varsity athlete from another team. Complete a Nipissing University Application for Entrance Awards, available on our website in early March. Deadline: May 1. -

Scholarships, Bursaries & AwardsAward Value$3,000.00Awarded to one full-time male student entering their first year of studies at Nipissing University. The recipient must demonstrate academic merit, must have been recruited and signed to play varsity soccer with the Nipissing Lakers, and have attended a Nipissing District Secondary School.
