Established to honour the life of Dr. James S. Jamieson in recognition of his dedication to encouraging teachers to inspire young students with their love of music. Dr. James S. Jamieson was an active member of the North Bay community, serving on the Board of Governors of Nipissing University and as the first president of the Nipissing University Alumni Association. He was also a member of the North Bay Symphony Orchestra, playing the violin for 20 years. The award is presented to a Bachelor of Education student enrolled in an elective music course(s) who expresses a strong and sincere desire to teach music. The recipient must demonstrate financial need and be a resident of Ontario as defined by OSAP.

Established to honour the life of Nipissing University alumna, Amber Wilde, in recognition of her dedication and passion in Gender Equality and Social Justice. The award is presented to a full-time, female student majoring in Gender Equality and Social Justice at Nipissing University on the basis of demonstrated leadership qualities and an enthusiasm for the program, both inside and outside the classroom. The recipient must also demonstrate financial need and be a resident of Ontario as defined by OSAP. Complete a Web Bursary application, available on Web Advisor beginning October 1. Deadline: 4:00 pm November 1.

Established to honour the life and passion of long-time Nipissing University employee and alumna, Georgia Lyons. Georgia, also known as "the Grammar Granny" devoted her time to working one-on-one with students, assisting them in developing their writing skills, overcoming challenges and teaching them methods for research and documentations. She shared a wealth of knowledge and had the ability to make people feel comfortable. This award recognizes the efforts of a Nipissing University student who has demonstrated significant effort in overcoming academic challenges such as writing, language or study skills. The recipient must demonstrate financial need and is selected by the Office of Student Development, in consultation with the Financial Aid Office.

Presented to one male and one female full-time Nipissing University student enrolled in the Bachelor of Business Administration program. Selection is made on the basis of academic merit and financial need. Recipients are selected in consultation with the School of Business.

Established by the graduating class of 2008, it is presented annually, on the basis of financial need, to a full-time Nipissing University student who is also a resident of Ontario as defined by OSAP.
