(Outgoing Student from Nipissing University)University she went to: University of Mannheim (Germany)
Taking this opportunity to me was a no-brainer to go and travel, experience another university, different lifestyle of North Bay [and] meet different people.
The university I went to [had] a big exchange program, so they had people from everywhere around the world. It’s made my perspective so much wider to where I want to go after Nipissing.
Some advice I would give is just to say yes to life and to get up and go. You’re not going to look back in 10 years and say “I wish I didn’t go on this exchange,” you’re going to look back and say “Wow I had a chance to travel the world and do school at the exact same time.”

(Incoming Student to Nipissing University)University she came from: Sungkyunkwan University (South Korea)
Go for it!! Embrace the local culture, get involved in campus activities, and don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. You can travel during reading weeks and spend your time exploring. I highly recommend Nipissing University to study and experience real local life in an adorable city. Also, pack lots of warm clothes - Canadian winters no joke, but they’re also part of the fun!
The school events were so memorable and gave me great opportunities to make new friends. I wanted to experience real life in other countries with local friends. My priority was to get to know myself better through exchange programs.
