Business students explore sustainability in Finland
GeneralSchool of BusinessTen students from Nipissing University's School of Business recently embarked on a transformative expedition to Finland, as part of the ADMN 3336-Special Projects (iLEAD) course. Funded by Global Skill Opportunity - Transcultural Interdisciplinary Learning Experiences (GSO-TILE), this three-credit course allowed students to explore sustainability in the world's happiest country, as ranked by the 2024 World Happiness Report. -

Lakers Break the Ice on Mental Health event raises $17,500
GeneralLakers Break the Ice on Mental Health, an annual fundraiser led by Nipissing University’s Sport Marketing class, raised $17,500 for the North Bay Regional Health Centre (NBRHC) Foundation and Nipissing University’s outreach program, NU Listens. The fundraiser utilized sport and community spirit to raise awareness for mental health while encouraging needed conversations. The main event, featured the Lakers varsity hockey teams and drew almost 1000 fans to enjoy exciting hockey and support students’ fundraising efforts. -
Lakers Break the Ice on Mental Health returns this Saturday
On Saturday, November 12, 2022, Lakers Break the Ice on Mental Health returns after a two-year hiatus. Proudly presented by TD, Lakers Break the Ice on Mental Health is teaming up with NU Listens, the North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation and the Nipissing Lakers varsity hockey teams to raise funds and awareness for mental health and emotional wellness. -

AlumniSchool of BusinessNipissing University School of Business graduate, Taylor Hummel (BBA ’19), is part of a small team that developed a successful initiative to encourage members of the North Bay community to shop locally this holiday season. Alongside her former high school classmates, Nico Waltenbury and Sierra Mercer, Hummel forged partnerships with 10 local businesses to create The Bay Bundle. -
