Three researchers at Nipissing University have earned close to half-a-million dollars in grants from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) for work battling sex trafficking, determining why so many individuals don’t act to combat climate change, and to help kids be better people and teammates.

Researchers at Nipissing University have earned $152,500 in grants from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) to assist in leading-edge research with the potential to benefit all Canadians.

While it wasn’t gold, the Nipissing University Ringette team walked away with a medal around their neck after a second-place finish at the University Challenge Cup (UCC), which wrapped up last week.
