Nipissing students consistently impress as leaders, in the classroom, on campus and in the community.  Recently the university celebrated 25 student leaders at the annual Dave Marshall Leadership Awards.  Over the coming months, NU News will introduce each student leader to the wider community with a short article discussing their accomplishments and activities. Today, we are pleased to profile Abbey Thompson, who is working toward a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, Marketing stream.

Nipissing University graduate, Krista Bouwman, has been selected to join a fantastic expedition to the high arctic, exploring Nunavut and western Greenland to snorkel and polar dive to scout, document and record disappearing sea ice.

Nipissing University was glad to work alongside the City of North Bay, the Gathering Place, the Canadian Red Cross and the District Health Unit to provide a warm welcome and safe accommodation for the 100 campers and counsellors who were evacuated from their Temagami camp due to uncontrollable forest fires.
