Nipissing University is preparing to host its inaugural fundraising gala, An Evening at Nipissing University: Together for Students, on Thursday, June 13, 2024, benefitting the Nipissing University Student Support Fund.

Whether it’s providing expert commentary, leading groundbreaking research, or making a difference in the community our students, faculty, staff and alumni are making headlines.

As 2023 comes to a close, I wanted to share a moment of gratitude and a humble thank you for your continued engagement with the University. Here at Nipissing, we have a lot to be proud of, and we couldn’t do the work we do without the engagement of our incredible community. 2023 presented us with many reasons to connect, and we look forward to continuing the conversation in 2024 and beyond.

For Dr. Patrick Maher, his entire career has focused on understanding how people use outdoor environments, and how they value or draw meaning from them. A professor of Physical and Health Education at Nipissing University, he was recently named one of the first recipients to receive the Grímsson Fellowship that will take him to Iceland in 2025.

Nipissing University has launched a new, online micro-credential titled, Wiidooktaadyang (We are Helping One Another): Promoting Health and Wellness in Anishinaabe Communities, focused on increasing knowledge of Indigenous health and wellness.
