The Clifford Ironside Bursary for Family of CAF Members & Veterans.
Awarded to a full-time student in any undergraduate degree program at Nipissing University who demonstrates financial need and is a child or partner of an active service member OR a child or partner of a veteran. To qualify, students must submit a short paragraph about how being part of a military family has impacted them and how this award may support them in their studies. Selected recipients will be asked to show documentation which may include a military ID, a CF1 card, or any posting message or discharge message (personal information or discharge reasons are not required)

Awarded to a Nipissing University student in any degree program who identifies as BIPOC. The recipient must demonstrate financial need.

Elspeth Minnery Memorial Award
Established to honour the life of Elspeth Minnery. This award is presented to a mature student in any degree program at Nipissing University on the basis of financial need.

Metis Nation Of Ontario Award
Established by the Métis Nation of Ontario to encourage and support Métis students in undergraduate programs at Nipissing University, the Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO) Métis Student Bursary Program provides bursaries to registered students who are verified Métis citizens of the Métis Nation of Ontario. Applicants may be studying in any discipline of any year and must be meeting all academic program requirements, along with demonstrated financial need. Selected awardees are considered only “conditional” until such time as their citizenship status can be confirmed. These awardees will be provided with a direct link to consent and complete the MNO verification process (This will involve providing key demographic information and consent to have citizenship status checked by the MNO’s 3rd party Registry).

Treaty No 9 Research Bursary
Awarded to an undergraduate or graduate student who is pursuing research in partnership with an Indigenous community located within the Treaty No. 9 region. Recipients must demonstrate financial need. The final decision is made by the Undergraduate Services and Awards Committee.

Indigenous Student Bursary
Provided, through funding from the provincial government, to Indigenous students on the basis of financial need. Students must be Ontario residents, as defined by OSAP.

Nipissing University Alumni Advisory Board Graduate Studies Award
Awarded to a full time student maintaining a minimum 70% average in the School of Graduate Studies. The recipient must demonstrate financial need.
