Presented annually to a full-time Nipissing University student on the basis of financial need. The recipient must also be a resident of Ontario as defined by OSAP.

Phyllis Kathleen Hart Memorial Bursary
Awarded on the basis of financial need to Indigenous Nipissing University students. Values are variable depending on need with a minimum award of $500. The recipients must also be residents of Ontario as defined by OSAP.

NUSU Service Award
Presented to a full-time or part-time Nipissing student who actively engaged in service to the Nipissing University and North Bay community, with preference given to the latter. Candidates cannot include current members of the Student Union Executive. The student's involvement will have upheld NUSU's mandate of servicing the university community while demonstrating academic proficiency. The recipient must demonstrate financial need and be a resident of Ontario as defined by OSAP.

Nipissing University Alumni Advisory Board Distinguished Alumnus Award
Presented in honour of a distinguished alumnus each year. It is awarded on the basis of financial need to an upper year student in the Concurrent Education Program who has at least a minimum 70% average. The recipient must also demonstrate financial need and be a resident of Ontario as defined by OSAP.

Nipissing University Laker Spirit Award
Presented annually to a full-time upper year student whose integrity, scholarship and extra-curricular contribution to the Nipissing University athletic community is outstanding. This award aims to recognize a student who strives to encourage the "Laker Spirit" in one or more of the following areas of university athletics: varsity and intramural sports, the Nipissing University Student Athletic Council, coaching and/or official game duties. All nominated candidates are required to be in good academic standing.

Presented to a student to ensure a Nipissing University education remains financially accessible. The recipient must also be a resident of Ontario as defined by OSAP.

Presented to six full-time students who demonstrate financial need to ensure a Nipissing University education remains financially accessible. The recipients must also be residents of Ontario as defined by OSAP.

NUSA (Nipissing University Student Alumni) Citizenship Award
Presented to a full-time student who contributes to the enhancement of student life through involvement with clubs, athletics events, and other volunteer driven organizations on campus. The recipient must demonstrate financial need and be a resident of Ontario as defined by OSAP.
